WELCA met Feb. 5, at Christ Lutheran Church (CLC) Bell Tower room. Joni Booth called the meeting to order and led devotions from II Timothy.
Roll call was answered by six members with a Bible verse.
Sue Erickson, secretary, read the minutes from Jan. 8. Rene Wiggins gave the treasurer’s report.
New business included discussion on plans for the David Shaw family luncheon on March 7, following his memorial service at 10:30 at CLC.
Also, VBS plans May 26-29 at CLC, including Methodist youth.
Erickson gave the lesson on “A New Blessing, a New Thing, a Fresh Start,” using verses from Isaiah, Habakkuk and 1 Corinthians.
The March 5 meeting will begin with devotions by Amy Schouten, a program by Pastor Sue Ellen Wenthe and refreshments provided by Booth.
