The Eureka Businesswomen met on Tues., Feb. 3 at TNT Catering in Eureka. There were 11 members and 1 guest present. The guest was Trystan Thompson, Businesswoman of the month. Roll call was answered by “Who are you picking to win the Super Bowl – New England Patriots or Seattle Seahawks?”

The minutes of the last meeting were given and approved as read. The treasurer’s report was given and approved as read.

Announcements were made. Jayme Lewis, representing the Greenwood County Health Department, gave an update regarding the Blessing Box located at their office. She wants to let the community know that the Blessing Box is available year-round. The Blessing Box is also in need of being replenished. Items that are removed quickly from the Blessing Box are cans of tuna, cans of soup and microwaveable popcorn. Ashleigh Casper, representing Sundgren Realty, reports there will be a new listing available in Greenwood County. The listing will be available on Wed. Feb. 4. Tonya Casper reports that The Gym will be hosting two Goat Yoga classes on Sun. Feb. 22. The classes will be held at 2 and 3:30 p.m. The Gym will allow 15 people in each class. There is a fee to participate.

There was no correspondence.

There was no old business. There was no new business.

The businesswoman of the month Thompson. She was presented with a certificate. She graduated from Eureka High School. She is married to Matt Thompson. They have been married for 20 years. They have 3 children. T. Thompson is currently employed at Home Bank & Trust in Eureka. She works in Customer Service, Escrows and Wire Funds. She has worked and Home Bank for 23 years. She has also been a Cub Scout leader in Eureka for 19 years.

There was no program for the evening.

Door prizes were won by T. Casper and Genell Garner.

There was not February birthday present.

Hostesses for the evening were Diana Cole and LaTisha Smalley.

The meeting closed with the Club Collect.
