I don’t know why I am writing the paper, I know it doesn’t care how high taxes set, but after last December, I got to write someone about my frustration about taxes.
I went to the court house on Friday to pay my property taxes, expecting they might go up between 2 – 3 thousand more than last year but instead they hand me a bill almost $5,000.00 more than last year pushing Donnie and mine property taxes about $2,000.00 a month, and I don’t even have a house to live in, it’s 140 years old have finally gave it up.
I went to the grocery store and ran into Droge we talked for awhile nothing o f s u b s t a n c e , it wasn’t mentioned Kansas was going to have special legislation session to give away 5 billion that is with a bill for the Hunt family so they can build their playpen.
That is the most money the State of Kansas has ever spent in one (1) day in Kansas history.
The legislature and its governor office didn’t have town meetings about spending that kind of money.
If they can spend that kind of money in one day without public input, there is no hope for the citizens of Kansas, we are all going to be tax into poverty.
