
Carolyn Kay Corle, 73, of Elk Falls, KS, passed away at her home on Thursday, January 29, 2026. Carolyn was born on January 12, 1953, in El Dorado, KS., the daughter of Edward Dwayne and Helen (Davis) Triboulet.
Carolyn was a graduate of South Elk, class of 1971. On September 5, 1971, Carolyn married Donald Gene Corle and they made their home in Elk Falls, KS. Carolyn and Gene spent the next 54 years building their legacy of love to their family, Gene survives at their home.
Including taking care of her family and home, Carolyn took a job with the U.S. Postal Service, serving more than 30 years and retiring as the Postmaster in Howard, KS. Carolyn had a love for horses, taking care of them and going for long leisure rides when she could. She enjoyed KU Basketball, crocheting, and enjoying friends and family. An avid supporter of her grandchildren and their events, cooking for her family, and following her faith at the Longton Baptist Church.
Survivors including her husband Gene are: Children: Alicia Corle of Chanute, KS and Justin Corle (Belinda) of Longton, KS; Stepson: Danny Corle (Paula) of Inola, OK; Mother: Helen Copeland of Eureka, KS; Grandchildren: Dakota Woodall (Joey) of Fredonia, KS,: Walker Corle (Rebecca Town) of LeRoy, KS; and Piper Corle of Longton, KS; One Great Grandson: Axl Woodall; Sisters: Deann Triboulet of Augusta, KS; Betty Sauer of Wichita, KS; Juanita Miller (Donnie) of Grenola, KS; Brothers: Ed Triboulet (Geneva) of Grenola, KS; Jeff Triboulet (Shelley) of Pelham, AL; Cork Triboulet (Renae) of Howard, KS; and Brother-in-law: Dwight Moore of Augusta, KS.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Dewayne (Trip) Triboulet, a sister Peggy Moore, a brother- in-law Rick Sauer and a sister-in-law Carey Triboulet.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with visitation 1 hour prior to service time, burial to follow in Elk Falls. Memorials in her memory have been suggested to either The Moline Alumni Association c/o the new building, or Harry Hynes Hospice. Memorials may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
