The “Question of the Week” for last week was: “What three characteristics do you believe are most important for a leader, and why?”
Following are the responses: Janet Thomson* “Integrity builds trust and promotes transparency. Communication is essential to clear understanding and is motivational. Accountability increases performance and boosts productivity.”
Lance Cowley* - “Moral integrity and ethics, communication skills direction of the purpose at hand ( transparency is part of this but there are times when information must be kept to decision makers) and listening to coworkers of all levels. And the third thing is a backbone to make decisions including disciplinary activities, yes thoes have to be made too” Chris Hansel* “Structure, accountability, leadership, time management, equals…..”
Amanda Johnson* “Patience, empathy but still be able to make the hard decisions” Amanda Denton* “Integrity, servanthood, & communication” Shannon Schlotterbeck* “Ability to take constructive criticism and feedback, transparency, ability to listen and consider ideas that differ from their own, ability and willingness to coach others, ability to provide CONSTRUCTIVE feedback to others. The ability to assume good intentions in others instead of the worst. Honesty. Integrity. Empathy without manipulation or deception. Patience. Willingness to ask questions and the true desire to understand those they lead, not JUST those who are their “friends” or those who support their biases.”
Shelly Bills* - “Honesty, an open mind to different views, transparency” Susan Epperson* “Honesty, fairness, able to negotiate.”
Tiffany Milner* “Empathetic, helpful and team oriented” Larry Hein* - “Truth, morality, integrity, which tRump is lacking in all three categories!”
