WELCA began their new year on Jan. 8 in the Bell Tower Room at Eureka Christ Lutheran Church. Joni Booth called the meeting to order. Camille Frakes gave devotions about “Mastering Our Tongues.”
Roll call of Bible verses was answered by 6 members. Sue Erickson read the minutes of Dec. 5, 2025. Rene Wiggins gave the Treasurer’s Report.
Communications included SOS, Oaks Mission and Family Life Center.
Past secretary reports will be put into storage.
New program books are in the works. A memorial to the church was made in Allen Hall’s name.
Wiggins gave the program on Gratitude and Blessings. Two Corinthians verses were read. Group discussion included sharing blessings and what the group members were thankful for. Wiggins shared a poem her aunt had written, “Three Gratitudes.”
The next meeting will be Feb. 5 with Booth giving devotions, Erickson giving the lesson and Frakes providing refreshments.
Erickson served dessert.
