The Eureka High School boys lost in Burlington Friday night 3772. The Wildcats are one of the top ranked teams in 3A and showed why this is so on the court. The Tornadoes fought and scrapped their way the entire time, but the Wildcats just kept throwing fresh waves of players on the court and simply wore down the Tornadoes.
The Burlington squad forced 22 turnovers and used their size and speed to out-rebound the Tornadoes as well. Eureka was able to get some good looks at the basket, but every time they threatened to make a run, a costly turnover or a well-timed 3 pointer by the hosts drained any momentum.
Cole Ptacek led the Tornadoes with 13 points. Tyson Coon had 9, Easton Mead added 7, Brody Mitchell had 6, and Kotah Davis completed the scoring with 2.
