Madison Pacesetters 4-H Club -

The monthly meeting of the Madison Pacesetters was called to order by President Caylin Luthi on Jan. 7. Howdy Seaton led the club in saying the Pledge of Allegiance and the 4-H Pledge. The roll call was “What is your favorite soda flavor?” Roll call was answered by 31 members, two cloverbuds, and two leaders. A quorum was present.

The minutes of the previous meeting were read aloud by Secretary Jorja Beeman and were approved by signing by President Caylin Luthi. The treasurer report was given by Wyatt Hoag. The reporter's report was given by Haddie Mae Seaton. The council report had held officer elections and they will have a meeting sometime next week.

Ty Gaines gave his leader’s report, about Junk In A Bucket, sign up for model meeting and gavel game. Gaines also made note that if any record books are going to Regionals they need to be at the Extension Office by Monday Jan. 12, by 4:30 p.m. Also during the leaders report, Gaines had the group vote for $100 for the people going to the CIA.

There was no old business. There was no new business.

The gavel was then passed to the Vice President Cooper Luthi for the program, Happy Birthday was sung to Larkyn Bailey. Emma Fankhauser had a project talk about clothing and how to up cycle fabric and clothes.

Tess Fankhauser had a project talk about different stitches and how/ when to use them. Grant Fankhauser had a project talk about using old lumber/wood. Beeman did a talk over food project. Peyton Hoag had the 4-H club do a recreation activity. The recreation activity was called dodgeball with socks.

The gavel was then passed back to the President Caylin Luthi for the remainder of the meeting. Mason McDonald moved to adjourn the meeting by saying the 4-H motto, and the motion passed. Jameson Bailey led the club in saying the 4-H motto and the meeting was adjourned. The next meeting is Feb. 4, at the Sauder Center.
