Each week The Herald will ask a random question, both on the opinion page of the weekly paper and on The Eureka Herald Facebook© page. Responses should be mailed to PO Box 590, Eureka, KS 67045, e-mailed to [email protected] with “Coffee Shop Talk” in the subject; dropped off at our office, 822 E. River, in Eureka or made on The Eureka Herald’s Facebook© page.

The “Question of the Week” for last week was: “If you could act in any movie, what movie would you be in?”

Following are the responses: Hal McBride - “ Inherit the Wind.” Robin, I even know the lines I would like to say. ‘Progress has never been a bargain. You have to pay for it. Sometimes I think there’s a man who sits behind a counter and says, “All right, you can have a telephone but you lose privacy and the charm of distance. Madam, you may have the vote but at a price. You lose the right to retreat behind the powder puff or your petticoat. Mister, you may conquer the air but the birds will lose their wonder and the clouds will smell of gasoline.’” Brook Edwards* - “The Hangover” Marvin Wheat II* “Any movie with Adam Sandler in it.”

Cindy Whiteman Peterson* - “‘Living In Missouri.’ Waitress at Zappo’s Hot Dog cafe.”

Pamela Sweany* - “The crowd of any Cecil B DeMille epic. I’m looking at you, Ten Commandments!” Wes Wunderlich* - “I get asked to reenact the movie misery every week.”

Donna Schlotterbeck* - “ Steel Magnolias I cry every time I watch this movie its one of my favorites” Brian Mills* “Lonesome Dove” Laurel Light Turley* “Wizard of Oz” Kelly Kirkpatrick* “Anything with Keanu Reeves cause he’s [fire emoji]” Chris Hansel* - “Make an appearance in every Marvel film, like Stan Lee” Freddy Stuber* - “Big Jake!”

Merry Barrentine* “Fried Green Tomatoes.”

Do you have a recommendation for the “Question of the Week” please send it to Robin at [email protected], or stop by 822 E. River St., Ste 100, in Eureka.
