The Eureka Businesswomen met on Tuesday, Jan. 6 at TNT Catering in Eureka. There were 11 members and 2 guests present. Guests were Emily Hansel, Businesswoman Of The Month and Derek, grandson of Diana Cole. Roll call was answered by “How you spent your Christmas?”
The minutes of the last meeting were given and approved as read. The treasurer’s report was given and approved as read.
One announcement was made. Jayme Lewis, representing Greenwood County Health Department, gave an update regarding the Blessing Box located at their office. She wants to let the community know that the Blessing Box is available year-round. The Blessing Box is also in need of being replenished.
There was no correspondence this evening.
There was no old business. There was no new business.
The businesswoman of the month was E. Hansel. E. Hansel was presented with a certificate. E. Hansel has lived in Eureka for 20 years. She is currently employed at Marshall Elementary (ME) as an office secretary in the office. She has worked at ME for 18 years. She was a paraprofessional for 15 years and has been an office secretary for the past 3 years. Hansel also works a few evenings a week as a waitress at The Half Dollar. She also helps during the summers at Koup Funeral Home. She is married to Chris Hansel. C. Hansel has a DJ service called Rhythm Revival. E. Hansel also serves at the CFO for her husband’s DJ service.
There was no program for the evening.
Door prizes were won by Ashleigh Casper and Audra Hemingway. The club sang Happy Birthday to Lois Stewart.
Hostesses for the evening were Lewis and Genell Garner.
