The Eureka Music Club met at the Christ Lutheran Church, in Eureka, at 2 p.m. on Dec. 8, 2025. Cohostesses were Robin Himes and Mary Ellen Forbes.
The meeting was called to order by Rise Russin with 10 members and one guest, Heidi Surber, answering roll call with a favorite Christmas song.
Carolyn Perrier, secretary, read the November minutes, which were approved as read. The treasurer’s report was given by Jean Edwards and approved.
Carla Cook and Russin were in charge of the program which began with a vocal trio consisting of Pat Surber, H. Surber and Erika Bechtel singing “The Christmas Song.” They were accompanied on the piano by Edwards. Next, Edwards played a piano solo, “Deck the Halls” consisting of a traditional and a jazz version of the carol. Forbes accompanied herself on the piano and sang a vocal solo, “Silent Night.” Himes played a piano solo, “What Child is This/Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring.” Marla DeGraffenreid played a piano solo “Coventry Carol.” The program concluded with the group singing “We Wish You A Merry Christmas” accompanied by Himes.
After the program, delicious refreshments were served by the co-hostesses. Music Club will not meet in January. The February meeting will be held at Christ Lutheran Church in Eureka with Sue Ellen Wenthe and Bechtel as co-hostesses. Himes is in charge of the program.
