The Eureka Wrestling Club (EWC) represented the Tornadoes at two events last week; first hosting their annual mixer on Tuesday, Dec. 30 and traveling to Towanda on Sunday, Jan. 4 for their annual Circle Classic.
Circle Classic
On Sunday, Jan. 4, members of the EWC traveled to Towanda for the annual Circle Classic. Following are the individual match wins for EWC participants:
10U Girls 110-120: Elena McCoy placed 5th. She won by forfeit over Asa Clark (Team Haysville).
14U Girls 100-115: Adleigh Ray placed 2nd. She won by fall over Camryn Harris (El Dorado) (Fall 1:09); won by fall over Aylah Sage (CYWC) (Fall 1:01).
14U Girls 132-150: Lakyn McCoy placed 1st. She won by fall over Graycee Gobel (Circle) (Fall 0:52); won by fall over Danika Flickinger (South Central Punishers) (Fall 1:28); won by fall over Grace Strouth (Bulldog) (Fall 0:44); won by fall over Daisy Puentes (Team Haysville) (Fall 1:24); and won a 5-1 decision over Amaiyah Renyolds (Winfield).
8U Girls 70: Oaklyn Smith placed 2nd. She won by fall over Emma Hoch (Central) (Fall 1:00); and won an 18-0 tech fall over Penelope Epley (Derby).
6U Boys 43D: Remington Winn placed 2nd. He won by fall over Jackson Otto (MAC) (Fall 2:41); and won a 10-0 major decision over Leonard Stowell (El Dorado).
6U Boys 55C: Zaiden Meza placed 2nd. He won an 11-6 decision over Alden Ford (Elk County); won by fall over Colton Young (Team Haysville) (Fall 2:14); and won a 14-8 decision over Abram Fisher (Garden Plain).
10U Boys 110: Carter Ring placed 6th.
8U Boys Novice 64B: Kupar Reneau placed 2nd. He won by fall over Jaxon Pless (El Dorado) (Fall 2:50); and won a 16-10 decision over Kam Train (Augusta).
8U Boys Novice 70-73: Alexander Reneau placed 1st. He won a 16-2 major decision over Rogan Ford (Jaguar); won an 11-4 decision over Wyatt Goodnight (Circle); won by fall over Ryker Hubbart (Augusta) (Fall 0:42); won by fall over Jackson Lewis (South Central Punishers) (Fall 2:50); and won by fall over Koehn Jansson (Grizzlies) (Fall 1:58).

8U Boys 70-80C: Graham Bechtel placed 2nd. He won a 14-4 major decision over Rigden Gobel (Circle); and won by forfeit over Kip Williams (Jaguar).

2025 Eureka Kids Mixer The EWC hosted the 2025 Eureka Kids Mixer on Tuesday, Dec. 30, at Eureka Junior/Senior High School. Following are the individual match wins for Eureka participants:
