A fundraiser is being planned to assist Eureka resident Brandi Starr with medical and travel expenses, after recently undergoing a microvascular decompression (MVD) surgery on Dec. 23 of trigeminal neuralgia.
Surgeons at Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale, Ariz., moved arteries compressing her trigeminal nerve in her brain. Starr, along with her husband, Scott, were in Arizona for approximately two weeks for surgery prep and recovery.
They have six-year-old twin daughters.
The Eureka Pizza Hut fundraiser, scheduled for next Monday, Jan. 5, 2026, is being held to assist the family with expenses. A portion of that day’s sales will be donated, however, customers are asked to note the fundraiser when ordering. Monetary donations can also be sent in care of The Eureka Herald, PO Box 590, Eureka, KS 67045. Checks should be made payable to Brandi Starr.
