The Eureka Lady Tornadoes closed out the 2025 calendar year with a 60-34 win over the Flinthills Mustangs on Friday night at home.
Flinthills struck first and kept the opening quarter close, but senior Britta Mongeau provided an early spark for Eureka, scoring eight of her 14 points in the first quarter to help the Lady Tornadoes take a 17-6 lead.
Eureka’s defense took control in the second quarter, holding the Mustangs to just four points while building a 28-20 halftime lead.
The Lady Tornadoes pulled away in the second half, outscoring Flinthills 15-6 in the third quarter behind strong defense and hot shooting from sophomore Sydney Lindamood. Lindamood finished with a game-high 15 points.
Eureka sealed the win with a balanced fourth quarter, scoring 17 points as a team.
Scoring for Eureka: Lindamood 15, Mongeau 14, Elle Coulter 9, Arabella Shepherd 7, Alaina Westerman and Hannah Perrier with 6 each and Lydia Mason 3.
Eureka finished the year undefeated at 6-0 and will return to action Friday, Jan. 9 at Fredonia.
