The Madison Bulldogs basketball teams hosted Lebo on Tuesday, Dec. 16 where the Bulldogs split with the Timberwolves.
Madison Ladies went scoreless in the first quarter and trailed 0-13 at the end of the first. The Lady Bulldogs come out strong in the second with four shooters coming together to outscore Lebo 14-4 in the second and closing the gap to 14-17 at the intermission. Madison was only able to add 10 points in the second half and allowed 14, and fell to the Timberwolves, 24-31. Scoring for Madison were Caylin Luthi, Rylee Darbro and Molly Dannels all with 6, Bayleigh Benjamin 4 and Kam White with 2.
The Madison boys claimed an early 15-10 lead but were outscored 9-20 in the second to trail 24-30 at halftime. Coming back after the break, the Bulldogs outscored the Timberwolves 11-10 to close the gap to a five point difference, 35-40. Madison dominated Lebo in the final stanza and won the game 56-49. Scoring for Madison were Octavian Dean 35, Brayden Grimmett 10, Javier Alba Mendez 4, Corey Yowell 3, and Lane Smith and Cooper Luthi each with 2.

Madison traveled to Waverly on Friday, Dec. 19. Due to an early press deadline, results were unable to be included in this week’s edition and will be featured in an upcoming issue. The Bulldogs will resume play on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026 at Olpe.
