Members of the junior varsity boys high school wrestling team ventured to Coffeyville on Monday, Dec.15.
Following are the individual results for Eureka participants: Boys JV 122-134: Christian Sanchez placed 4th. He lost a 0-8 major decision to Adam Jones (Carthage); lost a 0-14 major decision to Kyler Hurlbutt (Coffeyville); and lost by fall to Isaiah Cook (Parsons) (Fall 1:00).
Boys JV 123-128: Brayden Buck placed 2nd. He won by fall over Camden Lukens (Coffeyville) (Fall 3:34); won a 7-6 decision over Leo Sanchez (Frontenac); and lost by fall to Jax Ramey (Neodesha HS) (Fall 0:33).
Boys JV 137-144: Jayden Heit placed 3rd. He won by fall over Aston Evans (Neodesha HS) (Fall 0:46); lost by fall to Envy Oberbeck (Humboldt) (Fall 2:52); and lost by fall to Christian Capetillo Lopez (Carthage) (Fall 1:38).
Boys JV 142-144: Darby Newman placed 4th. He lost by fall to Geovanny Paxtor (Carthage) (Fall 0:43); lost by fall to Dominic Huffman (Independence) (Fall 0:18); and lost by fall to Logan McConnaughey (Frontenac) (Fall 1:33).
Boys JV 148-152: Hunter Swartz placed 4th. He lost a 2-11 major decision to Keaton Breeding (Independence); lost by fall to Cameron Dorson (McDonald County) (Fall 0:49); and lost a 0-12 major decision to Gabe Marquez (Columbus).
Boys JV 186-189: Charles Granado placed 2nd. He won by fall over Gustavo Sanchez (McDonald County) (Fall 1:17); lost by fall to Anthony Smith (Carthage) (Fall 0:45); and won by fall over Luke Pitt (Coffeyville) (Fall 0:35).
Boys JV 210-221: Hunter Olsen placed 3rd. He won by fall over Brayden Higgs (Independence) (Fall 1:03); lost a 1-17 tech fall to Eli Burris (Caney); and lost by fall to Jamar Watkins (Parsons) (Fall 1:01).
Boys JV 241-251: Ashton Lawrence placed 3rd. He won by fall over Kameron Frank (Cherryvale) (Fall 2:42); lost by fall to John Waggoner (Chanute) (Fall 1:39); and lost by fall to Jesus Pena (Neodesha HS) (Fall 0:35).
