The Madison/Virgil USD 386 board of education meets on the second Monday of each month. The following report was generated from the unofficial minutes, which are subject to board approval.
Vice President Jannette Luthi called the meeting to order at 5:05 p.m. Roll call was answered by Dallas Luthi, Amy Hind, Jannette Luthi, and Jennifer Watts. Also attending were Dallas Woolf, Kristy Johnson, Amanda Schild, and Dustin Martin. Justin Isch joined the meeting at 5:20. Dallas Luthi stepped out at 5:30. Ty Gaines was absent.
The Board participated in a High School building tour.
Jennifer Watts made a motion to adjourn. Amy Hind seconded the motion. Motion carried. 4 yes, 0 no. Meeting was adjourned at 6:00 p.m.
The Madison/Virgil USD #386 Board of Education held their regular meeting on Dec. 8 with Vice President Jannette Luthi, Jennifer Watts, Justin Isch, Amy Hind and Ty Gaines in attendance. Also attending were Superintendent Dallas Woolf, Kristy Johnson, Principal Amanda Schild and Steve Thompson.
The board approved the December regular and Special Board meeting minutes and the agenda, with updates.

Principal Schild recognized Thomas Scott for all of his hard work preparing for the upcoming music concerts. Superintendent Woolf recognized Kristan Dean, Johnson, and the building secretary’s for making this year’s audit go so smoothly.
The Current Accounts Payable that totaled $66,476.91, Treasurer’s Report and the Activity Fund Report were approved as presented.
The board approved the resignation of Ashley Redeker as the high school girls volleyball coach.
Information items discussed were the BFR audit, House Bill 2186, All LCL football, job descriptions, and Jr/Sr. High building needs.
Superintendent Woolf gave a 1st reading of KASB Policies updates. Thompson gave a Transportation update. and Hind discussed the KASB Convention she attended. Updates were also given regarding Food Service, Madison Elementary activities and the preliminary 2026 Budget information.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:25 p.m. The next meeting of the Madison/ Virgil USD #386 board will be held on Jan. 12, 2026 at 6 p.m.
