- submitted by Stella Shivers, reporter Cort Decker called the monthly meeting of the Harmony Sunflowers 4-H Club to order Sunday, Nov. 3 at the Christ Lutheran Church in Eureka. Roll Call was “What is your favorite Thanksgiving food?” and was answered by 36 members, two clover buds and three leaders.
In new business, the club discussed paying bills, establishing several new committees for scholarships, Eureka Days, 48 hours of 4-H, and the Christmas Party. A vote was taken to replace a 4-H council member and vote in a new Jr. Reporter.
The program consisted of a demonstration by Hayden Evenson on her clarinet. Clay Teter gave a project talk on the 4 types of cattle ID. Amelia Shepherd and Hayden Evenson led the club in singing “Home on the Range.” A parliamentarian tip on what secretaries do was given by Brody Rockhill, Duke Coulter, and Bryce Teter.
The next meeting will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, after Breakfast with Santa.
