Claimed Second Consecutive Plaque At 2A State • Placing Third
2025-26 Eureka Tornado Cheer Squad

The Eureka Cheer squad continued to make history for the Tornadoes as they claimed Back-to-Back third place finishes at the 2A State Cheer in Topeka, last Saturday, Nov. 22.

Eureka was one of six teams to advance to the finals, including Southeast High School (from Pittsburg), Plainville High School, Trinity High School (from Hutchinson), Rossville High School (who is the 4-time returing 3A State Champions [2021-2024]) and Cair Paravel Latin (CPL) School (from Topeka, who placed 2nd at last year’s 2A event).

Eureka was the fifth team to qualify with a score of 175.95.

After reviewing judges notes, and making changes to their routines, Eureka Cheer was fourth in crowd leadingwith42.67andfourth in band chant and fight song with 40.50 but scored a combined score of 83.17 to claim third place and come home with a plaque.

CPL was first across the board, winning with a total core of 91.43.
