Two community Thanksgiving dinners are being made possible by community businesses this Thursday, Nov. 27.
The Avalos family will host their 14th annual Thanksgiving dinner this Thursday, Nov. 27, at Sweet and Spicy.
Continuing a tradition started by Ruth Watts, the Avalos family welcomes the community to a Thanksgiving dinner at Sweet and Spicy, located at 1229 Highway 99, in Howard.
Deliveries for the annual meal begin at 11 a.m., with the restaurant opening at 12 p.m. to serve a community meal. With the community’s help, the Avalos family is able to provide the community meal. The help includes donations, both monetary and pies, as well as help and delivery.
Everyone is welcome to the annual Community Thanksgiving dinner.
Esiquio and Connie Avalos, along with their children Flora, Andrea, Florentino “Tino,” Olivia and Melody, along with their children, look forward to the annual event.

In Toronto, the The Grumpy Bear Trading Post & Eatery will be offering a free-will Community Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday, Nov. 27 from 5-8 p.m. at 106 Main Street. Everyone is welcome.
