Madison/Virgil USD 386 Board of Education held a Special Meeting on Nov. 10 at 5 p.m. to participate in a tour of the Elementary Building. The Special Meeting was adjourned at 5:58 p.m.
The board then opened their regular meeting on Nov. 10 at 6 p.m. The board approved the October minutes and the agenda with updates.
Business by Consent, current Accounts Payable totaling $256,155.61, Treasurer’s Report and the Activity Fund Report were all approved as presented.
The Open Enrollment Policy was approved as presented.
FFA members were present to give a presentation on their recent trip to Nationals.

Brandon Escareno • Insured Updates were given regarding the Ag building sidewalk, School Safety, Transportation and Food Service. Updates were given regarding Madison Elementary and Madison Jr/ Sr High School activities, including the Veterans Day assemblies.
Multiple Executive Sessions were held. There were two sessions, totaling 15 minutes, to discuss personnel matters regarding employee performance with the board and administration; two sessions, totaling 25 minutes, to discuss personnel matters regarding employee performance with the board only and one 5-minute session to discuss student matters with the board and administration. No decisions were made after returning to open meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:21 p.m. The next meeting of the Madison/Virgil USD 386 board will be held on Dec. 8 at 6 p.m. 3x3.5
