Tax Statements Mailed Out Last Week

According to the Greenwood County Treasurer, 2025 Property Tax Statements were mailed out late last week.

The graphs published with this article are to assist taxpayers by showing what percentage of their tax dollar goes to the various agencies of government.

Individuals having questions concerning values should call the County Appraiser at 620583-8131. Individuals having a question concerning tax payments should call the County Treasurer at 620-583-8146.

A total of 13,401 tax statements are being mailed this year, as compared to 13,470 last year. The total taxes levied for 2025 are $16,797,905.28; in 2024 it was $16,028,565.01.

A breakdown of taxes shows total amounts for Real Estate $10,168,652.61, Personal Property $429,186.45, State Assessed taxes $5,419,751.85, Royalty taxes $614,439.45, 16/20M Trucks $91,242.24, Watercraft taxes $30,302.84 and Special Assessments $44,329.84.

The total valuation of Greenwood County for the current tax year 2025 is 97,138.382 compared to 94,128.025 for 2024.

The first half tax payments are due by Dec. 20. The second half tax payments will be due by May 10, 2026. Any individual who does not receive their tax statements by Dec. 1st should contact the County Treasurer immediately.
