A special assembly was held on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at Marshall Elementary School. Members of the sixth grade class provided introductory remarks, present-ed Military flags, sang “A Grateful Nation,” by Teresa Jennings, recited “America’s White Table” and sang “God Bless the USA.” Members of the sixth grade band played “Grand Ole’ Flag.” The ceremony concluded with the playing of “Taps” by Eureka Junior/ Senior High School students.
Community members, along with MES sixth grade students, gathered at the Veterans Memorial Wall for a special ceremony on the 11th day, of the 11th months at the 11th hour.
