No more ‘Penny for your thoughts’ the U.S. Mint minted the last penny on Nov 12. Retailers will now round up or down to the nearest nickel. Although, you can still use them. There are billions of pennies in circulation. Makes sense financially since it costs 6.9 cents to make a penny. Supposedly, none of the last run will go in to circulation but will be sold at a later date.
