Annual Greenwood County 4-H Achievement Banquet Held Last Wednesday

The Greenwood County 4-H Achievement Banquet, celebrating the 2024-2025 4-H year, was held at the Hamilton School Gymnasium on Wednesday, Nov. 12.

The following 4-H members and 4-H supporters received recognition. The initials for the 4-H clubs are FR55 – Fall River 55ers, FM – Fancy Mustangs, HS – Harmony Sunflowers, MPS – Madison Pacesetters, RW – Racing Wranglers, and WVGG – Willow Valley Go-Getters.

HS and MPS received a purple seal, RW and WVGG received a blue seal, and FM received a red seal for their club seals. Clubs with completed officers’ books: Secretary: FM – Purple; RW, MPS and HS. Treasurer: HS – Purple; RW, FM, WVGG. Reporter: HS – Purple, MPS and WVGG. Historian: MPS – Purple; FM, HS and WVGG.

Pins and certificates were awarded for completion of 4-H Project Record Books for individual 4-H projects. An (*) denotes senior project winners who may apply for area consideration. Achievement pins are awarded based on membership and participation. The top three record books for the county were: 1st: Hannah Perrier (RW) - Beef; 2nd: Brynn Roth (MPS) - Foods; 3rd: Caylin Luthi (MPS) – Leadership. The following fair winners were also recognized: High Point Girl: Sydney Lindamood (FM); High Point Boy: Brody Rockhill (HS).

The Alumni Award recognizes a former 4-Her who continues to be involved and helpful in the 4-H program. This year’s Alumni & Honorary Member Award recipients were Annissa & Brad Boulanger.
