The monthly meeting of the Madison Pacesetters was called to order by President Caylin Luthi on Nov. 5. Bennett Raaf led the club into saying the Pledge of Allegiance and the 4-H pledge. The roll call was “Do you like ham or turkey?” Roll call was answered by 35 members, one cloverbud and two leaders. A quorum was present.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read aloud by Secretary Jorja Beeman and were approved by signing by President Caylin Luthi. The treasurer’s report was given by Wyatt Hoag. The reporter's report was given by Haddie Mae Seaton. There was a statement about a 4-H council meeting on Nov. 17.
Ty Gaines gave his leader's report. Gaines stated that all old members need to re-sign up for 4-H online before Jan. 1, 2026. Gaines also stated that everyone that is able to come to the 4-H achievement banquet you should have RSVP. At the December meeting the group will have the Christmas party and the group will go caroling.
There was no old business. In new business, it was moved to pay a total of $300 for project Christmas and $150 toward a girl and a boy. Bills were approved.
The gavel was then passed to the Vice President Cooper Luthi for the program, Happy Birthday was sung to Tucker Shankie. Rylee Darbro had the club sing a song called “Da Moose.” Molly Hurlburt had a health and environment presentation about how to prevent getting sick during the winter weather. Jameson Bailey had a demonstration about his arts and crafts project on how to make rubber band bracelets. Colter Luthi had a project talk about the goats projects. Caylin Luthi did a project talk about the beef project. Larkyn Bailey had a project talk about her arts and crafts project.
The gavel was then passed back to President Caylin Luthi for the remainder of the meeting. Mason McDonald moved to adjourn the meeting by saying the 4-H motto, and the motion passed. Gage Gibson led the club in saying the 4-H motto and the meeting was adjourned.
The next meeting is Dec. 3, at the Sauder Center.
