Eureka Music Club met on Monday, Nov. 10 at the Christ Lutheran Church in Eureka with Marla De-Graffenreid and Grace Stacy at hostesses. Nine members were present.
The program, “Let Us Give Thanks” opened with the group singing “God Bless America.”
Marilyn Seymour shared a piano solo, “We Gather Together.” Mary Ellen Forbes played and sang, “Now Thank Thee All Our God.” Stacy shared history of the beginning of Thanksgiving and played original organ music on the piano. Her selection was music by We. Byrd and Thauas Tollis, both of the 1500s. DeGraffenreid read a reading titled “Uncle Sam Is My Father” and shared her mother’s military Garrison cap. “Over The River and Through The Woods” concluded the program. Pumpkin Pie was served by the hostess.
