Here it is . . . November. One month left to this ole year. Where oh where has the time gone?
Trunk or Treat was held Friday evening on Main Street. It was kind of a last minute thing having gotten canceled the Saturday before due to the weather that weekend. The weather was perfect Friday, but sadly not many people showed up. I suspect many went to Yates Center earlier in the evening for their Trunk or Treat.
It was still a fun time. There was bowling with pumpkins, tattoos, stepping stones for playing ‘The ground is lava,’ books from the library as well as lots of candy and other goodies.

We have a Food Bank located in the ally behind the old Kayaks and More store on Main Street Toronto. The food bank is in the back room of that building and there is a ramp in back for easier entrance and exit. It will be open Tuesday - Friday 5-7 p.m. or any time by appointment.

Did we get our first frost Sunday morning? I wasn't up early enough to see. I know it got pretty cool out. Punky couldn't have been any closer to me than what she was. Started out just one foot against me, then it was her whole body stretched out next to mine, pressing against me. It’s definitely cooler weather. The vultures have gone south for the winter and now the roads will be littered with road kill until the highway crews get out and remove the bodies. We noticed many dead deer, raccoons and skunks along the highway the other day while traveling to Iola and back.
And speaking of deer, they have really been on the move. We’ve been seeing more of them everywhere we go. Been seeing a lot of cool pictures online also. Be aware Quote: “More than cleverness, we need kindness and gentleness.” - Charlie Chaplin
