Contest Winners From October Hidden Object Search Announced

recently announced contest winners for the hidden object search that was featured in the Oct. 15 edition.

With the support of local businesses, The Eureka Herald hid a total of 125 jack-o’-lanterns in the paper, with one submitting the exact amount.

Cash prizes, and goodies, were awarded to the top two participants in each age category (4-6, 7-9, 10-12 and 13-17 and 18 and over). Following are the results from each age division.

Ages 4-6: 1st place, Rook Samuels, 104.

Ages 7-9: 1st place, Karter Hollis, 125; 2nd place, Remington Genoble, 123.

Ages 18 and over: 1st place, Diana Cole, 123; 2nd place, Kara Nutsch, 122; 3rd place, Jodi Cheever, 121.

Practice events are held monthly, with the next prize event being included in the March 25, 2026 edition of The Eureka Herald.

“Our primary goal of including these activities is to get children of all ages to pick up the paper,” stated editor Robin Wunderlich. “We want to keep the community informed and why not have fun in the process. We truly appreciate all of our readers,” she continued.
