Hamilton City Library To Offer Digital Literacy Events

The Hamilton City Library announced recently that they have received an opportunity to have some events this fall and winter called “Digital Literacy” through a grant awarded to Southeast Kansas Library System (SEKLS). Their first event will be Oct. 31, from 12-1:30 p.m. Refreshments/lunch will be served after the event in the library.

Children, ages kindergarten - 8th grade are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible at the local library to reserve a seat and use of a laptop to play “Minecraft Haunted Mansion.”

Other events in the library plans might be: EXCEL, PPT (Powerpoint) Class), and other computer lessons with Pretests and Post Tests; Roblox for JH-HS students; Engraving on Pencils, wood; Cricut (computerized version) using vinyl; Sand Table for Young Kids; Video Chat with an author in OHIO in future; Local Speaker –Wildflowers of Kansas-in future; Author from Butler County- Nov. 5 at 2:30 p.m.
