Eureka Music Club met on Oct. 13 at The Mapleton with Carla Cook and Carolyn Perrier as hostesses. Fifteen members and two guests, Diane Conway and Jeff Garrett, were present. Robin Himes and Margaret Spires serves as program chairman.
Following short business meeting, the group sang Happy Birthday to Joyce Saunders.
Spires presented the program “Remembering Fall Favorites.” Cook began with a poem, sang “Robin Redbreast” from the Golden Book of Favorite Songs; Rise Russin played a piano solo “Try To Remember.” Marla DeGraffenreid played the hymn “For the Beauty of the Earth;” Leanne McKee gave a lively vocal solo of “Five Eyes,” accompanied by Jeff Garrett on the piano. The program ended with a sing-a-long of “School Days” with Himes as accompanist.
Following the program, refreshments were served by Janet Turner from TNT Catering. Cook provided treats of candy and nuts.
The next Eureka Music Club meeting will be Nov. 10 with Forbes as program chair.
