Eureka was represented at the 3-2-1A State Golf tournament in Salina earlier this week as Lady Tornado freshman Madalyn Langer punched her ticket at the St. Mary’s Colgan Sub-State.
Langer shot a 122 and was the 4th individual (not associated with the top 3 teams) to advance to state.
Also representing Eureka was fellow freshman Celona Hall, who shot a 126.
A special send off was held on Friday of last week to celebrate Langer’s trip to state. She was set to compete at Salina Municipal Golf Course on Monday, Oct. 20, with hopes of advancing to day 2 of action.
Langer was still competing on Day 1 as this week’s paper went to print. Details from her state appearance will be included in next week’s edition.
