Joni Booth called the October 2 WELCA meeting to order in the Bell Tower Room at the Christ Lutheran Church in Eureka. Rene Wiggins led devotions about a “Horse & Wet Saddle Blanket.”
Roll call was answered by 6 members with a Bible verse.
Sue Erickson, secretary, read the minutes of the September 4 meeting. Wiggins gave the Treasurer’s Report.
Communications included a thank you from Evangelical Lutheran Church for the donation. A note was read from Oaks Mission.
The group made a donation to the Senior Center Nutrition board.
Sign-up sheets, menu, ads and flyers were discussed for the 98th Annual Fall Bazaar to be held on Nov. 22 at Christ Lutheran Church.
Pastor Sue Ellen Wenthe gave a program on “Hymns,” words of faith and Bible verses put to music. Each member shared their favorite hymn.
The Nov. 6 meeting will be the Thankoffering in the sanctuary, led by Pastor Wenthe. Camille Frakes will provide refreshments.
The meeting adjourned with the group praying the Lord’s Prayer in unison.
