Two Eureka softball teams competed in the Howl O Scream tournament this weekend held in Derby and Goddard.
The 8u Tornadoes team won their first 2 games of the tournament, but fell in their final game. They had a 2-1 record going into bracket play Sunday.
The 8u Tornadoes team consists of Allie Knowles, Briella Sanchez, Dawsyn Evenson, Georgia Turner, Kamryn Bohl, Kjia Ensminger, Margot Shivers, Oaklyn Smith, Rhealee Shahan, and Wren Zimmerman. They are coached by Justin Knowles, Austin Evenson, and George Turner The 10u Tornadoes team finished pool play with a record of 2-1 lead by pitching from Brylee Boone, Stella Shivers and Bynsley Valentine.
The 10u Tornadoes team consists of Allison Combs, Amelia Shepherd, Ava Mc-Donald, B. Boone, B. Valentine, Charlee Prater, Ellie Gulick, Miah Hughes, Olivia Escareno, Paislee Morris, Penny Escareno, and S. Shivers. The team is coached by Isaac Boone, Lucas Valentine, Gretchen Reed, and Kenneth Mc-Donald The 8u team lost their first game in bracket play, finishing 2-2 for the tournament.
The 10u team went 1-1 during bracket play and placed third.
Other local players who participated in the tournament include Addy Marks, Hayden Evenson and Chloe Crisswell.
