Here we are halfway through October and we are still having nice warm days. Suits me, I’d rather have it be warm than cold. Even though cold weather is inevitable.

What does ephemeral mean?

This wonderful fall weather has been great, temperatures have been near perfect, nothing better than sleeping with your windows and doors open.

thing that is fleeting or short-lived is ephemer- al, like a fly that lives for one day or text messages flitting from cell phone to cell phone. Ephemeral was originally a medical term with the specific meaning “lasting only one day,” as a fever or sickness (Hemera means “day” in Greek.) The word became more general, coming to mean “lasting a short time,” covering the life spans of plants or insects and even- tually anything fleeting or transitory.
