Severy City Council
1. What is your primary reason for running for this position?
I’m running because I believe in Severy and want to see it start moving forward again. I built a new home here, and I want to help turn things around — fix our streets, attract a few businesses, and make sure this town has a future we can all be proud of.
2. What is your vision for your city/board of education and how would you help achieve it?
My vision for Severy is to see this town alive again — good streets, a few more businesses, and people taking pride in where we live. It starts with simple things: fixing what’s broken, cleaning up our town, and making it easier for folks to want to invest here. Most of all, I’ll listen to the people who live here and make sure we focus on things that really make a difference.
3. What three issues do you consider to be your “top priorities?” 1. Fix and maintain our streets using smart planning and strong follow-through. 2. Support small business and new development to bring life bac k to Severy.
3. Clean up our town and restore community pride through fairness and teamwork.
4. What background do you have that will help you in this role, if elected?
I’ve worked in industrial safety for years, where you have to plan carefully, manage people, and take responsibility. I’ve also owned two successful restaurants, so I know what it takes to run a business and work within a budget. I built the first new home in Severy in years because I believe in this community. I want to use my experience — both in business and in leadership — to help Severy grow and get back on track.
5. How do you feel the current board/council is doing in their service?
I think the current board does a good job of communicating and working to move Severy in the right direction. I know our budget is limited, so it’s important that we look for ways to be efficient and make the most of what we have. I’ve shared an idea to help save money and have also been working on an idea to bring new business to town. I’d like to keep helping find practical ways to make Severy stronger and more sustainable.
6. Please list personal information or other information you feel is important.
I built my home here because I believe in Severy. This is where I want to live, and see things improve.
I’ve owned two successful restaurants and worked in industrial safety for years, so I know how to manage people, solve problems, and stay accoun table.
I’m running because I want to see our town take pride in itself again — cleaner streets, more businesses, and a city government that listens and follows through. I’m not looking for credit; I just want to help get things done .
