The annual Greenwood County Cattlemen’s Day event is just three weeks away.
Goat roping on Friday, Oct. 31 will kick off the festivities, beginning at 5 p.m. at the fairgrounds and the event will conclude with a Team Roping Jackpot on Sunday, Nov. 2 at 2 p.m. at the Eureka Saddle Club arena.
Majority of the events will be held on Saturday, Nov. 1, with festivities kicking off with the annual Hot Rods and pancakes from 6:30-10:30 a.m. The annual parade will be held at 1:30 p.m. with the Cattlemen’s Banquet beginning with social hour from 5-6:30 p.m. Entertainment will begin at 8 p.m., with Dave Kendall presenting a preview of the film “Oasis On the Prairie: The Ranchers of Greenwood County.”
Tickets for the event are currently being sold, at a discounted rate until Oct. 20, with tickets increasing in cost on October 21 through Nov. 1.
