The Eureka Herald
has reached out to various candidates who will appear on the November general ticket.
Questionnaires were mailed to those appearing on the ticket, as well as those who made it known to
that they were planning a writein campaign.
This week,
The Herald
features responses for candidates seeking election to Eureka USD 389, Hamilton USD 390 and Madison/Virgil USD 386 board of education.
Responses for candidates running for City Council positions in Eureka, Fall River, Hamilton and Severy will be included in next week’s edition. If a resident of the City of Eureka (a city of the 1st class), is seeking a write-in campaign for city council, an affidavit of write-in candidacy is required to be filed with the county clerk’s office prior to advanced mail ballots being mailed, on Oct. 15 or votes will not be counted.
Advance voting in person being held from Monday, Oct. 27 through Monday, Nov. 3 at 12 p.m.
Voters residing in the Eureka Township will also have the chance to vote on Resolution 2025-02. If approved, the townships powers will be transferred to the Greenwood County Commissioners and the township would be abolished.
The audit for the election will be held on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 2 p.m., with the canvass being held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 17.
