Lady Tornado seniors Rose Buck and Britta Mongeau continue to dominate the contests.
This past week, the ladies finished in the top five at Central Heights with Buck claiming top honors with a run of 19:04.83. Mongeau placed fifth with a time of 20:54.22.
Placing for the Tornadoes was freshman Tavin Austin who placed 10th in the boys junior varsity 5K race, with a time of 20:51.79. Also representing Eureka in the mixed 5K junior varsity race was Reata Bogle, 17th, 31:00.67; and Brayden Buck, 32nd, 25:15.87.
Competing in the mixed 7th grade race was Blake Wells, who finished in 17th, with a time of 15:30.59.
Also representing the Tornadoes at Central Heights was Tornado 8th grader Henry Lindamood.
The Tornado Cross Country team hosted their annual meet on Tuesday of this week. They will travel to Fredonia for Tri-Valley League action on Oct. 16, at 4 p.m. Tornado varsity runners will then travel to Wichita-Trinity Academy on Oct. 25 for 2A Regional action.
