GWCHTo Make Changes In Medicare Advantage Plans Accepted
Beginning Jan. 1, 2026, Greenwood County Hospital (GWCH) and all affiliated offices (Eureka Clinic, Howard Clinic, and Home Health) will no longer be in-network providers with the following Medicare Advantage plans: Humana; Aetna Medicare Advantage; and Wellcare by AllWell.
“This was not an easy decision, and we understand it may cause inconvenience for many of the patients at Greenwood County Hospital,” said CEO Sandra Dickerson.

“Please know that Greenwood County Hospital remains committed to providing excellent, compassionate care to every patient who walks through our doors and our team is here to answer questions and help patients understand their options moving forward,” she continued. GWCH will continue to be in-network providers with the following Medicare Advantage plans: United Healthcare Advantage plans; Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas Medicare Advantage plans.
The Medicare open enrollment period is Oct. 15 through Dec. 7. During this time, patients can: Review their current Medicare Advantage plan; Compare with other available plans; Switch to a plan accepted by Greenwood County Hospital, provider clinics and the home health department.
