The Tornadoes were shocked and stonewalled by the Cherryvale Chargers last week losing 8-14. The Chargers came into the game with a plan to limit the explosive Eureka offense and they did just that. Cherryvale controlled the majority of the game’s time of possession and tempo. Eureka only had 35 offensive plays to the Chargers 70 plays. This game of keep away proved to be effective even with the Tornadoes winning the turnover battle 3-2.
Peyton Hare scored Eureka’s only points with a 7 yard touchdown run on the first drive followed by a 2 point run by Hare. The Tornadoes would have trouble even crossing midfield on offense after that first drive.
