The first meeting of the Marshall Elementary PTA was called to order on Tuesday, Sept. 9, at 5:30 p.m. at Marshall Elementary. In attendance were five school representatives including Principal Stacy Coulter and five parents, three of which being current officers. There were no previous meeting minutes to be read as this was the first official meeting of the school year. Ashley Cox reported on the President’s report of with the main focus being the upcoming fundraiser for the school. Marshall PTA will be continuing the Believe Kids Fundraiser, which is the catalogs to purchase items from. Students will have catalogs and order forms to sell items from Oct. 6-Oct. 21. Delivery for the items purchased will be Dec. 4. These items will come to the school and then students can pick up their orders to begin distributing to their customers. The money raised from this fundraiser will help increase the budget for school grants throughout the year. Possible options are to update playground equipment and funding the Tie-dye T-shirt Project for this year. Heidi Boone reported the treasurer’s report and current financials were discussed. The 2025-2026 PTA budget was approved by current officers. Committee reports were discussed with committee sign ups for the new school year completed. Boone presented 4th quarter honor roll information. There were 86 students who received a candy bar with a drink from Eastside Service for receiving the Honor Roll recognition. First quarter honor roll for this school year will be on Oct. 29. A recap of 2024-2025 grants were discussed along with summer grants that were completed.
The 2025-2026 schedule for PTA events/fundraisers were approved. PTA has agreed to provide the meal for Parent Teacher Conferences on Oct. 28.
