Sandwich Club Quilt Guild held their first meeting of the program year on Saturday, September 13. Eleven members traveled to Wichita to join hostess Ann Johnston in her retirement home. Susan Johnson gave an informative program on constructing a quilt top with scrappy fabric squares from a pattern she had redesigned. Members shared recent projects they had made.
Plans were made for the next meeting, Saturday, Oct. 11 when Donna Martinson, of Junction City, will share tips and techniques for award winning quilts. She will also display her 2019 State Fair Grand Champion quilt. This meeting and program will start at 10 a.m. in the United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall and be open to the public.
Sandwich Club Quilt Guild meets the second Saturday of each month and welcomes new members.
