The Madison Bulldogs dominated in their season opener over Lebo, as they claimed a 51-20 victory.
Bulldog Brayden Grimmett completed 8 of 14 passes for a total of 112 passing yards. He also had 6 rushes for 56 yards. He recorded 2 touchdowns (one passing and one rushing).
Cruz Leiser had 33 rushes for 171 yards, 5 touchdowns, and 3 recep-tions for 18 yards.
Lane Smith had 3 rushes for 13 yards and 1 reception for 47 yards. He also recorded a fumble recovery.
Octavian Dean had 4 receptions for 47 yards and 1 touchdown.
The Bulldogs were successful on four 2-point conversions with Leiser and Grimmett each having 2. Madison was also successful on 1 of 2 PAT conversion attempts.
Defensively, the Bulldogs were led by Lane Smith, Mason McDonald and Dean, all with 14 tackles; Leiser 12,Jackson King 11, Cooper Luthi 10, and Grimmett and Cory Yowell each with 9.
The Bulldogs also claimed a win last Friday, Sept. 12, beating Hartford 49-0 in the 3rd quarter. They are now 2-0 on the season.
