Fifth Monday Program Planned For Sept. 29

Ice cream, hot dogs, cotton candy - sounds like a fair. Fairs are popular in Kansas, from county fairs to state fairs. This program, sponsored by the Greenwood County Historical Society and Humanities Kansas will feature World’s Fairs and discuss some striking legacies of significant world’s fairs and even some remnants of past World’s Fairs that are in Kansas. The speaker, Tom Prasch of Topeka is chair of the history department at Washburn University Plan to attend this free, open to the public, event on Monday, Sept. 29, at 7 p.m. at the Greenwood County Museum, 120 W. 4th Street, Eureka.
