The Lady Tornadoes High School girls golf season is in full swing as the Ladies competed in two 9-hole golf tournaments recently.
Eureka opened its season on Aug. 28 at Fort Scott, where Lady Tornado freshman Celona Hall claimed hardware, as the top 12 individuals and top 3 teams earned medals. Hall finished the round with a 64 to place 11th. Also representing Eureka were Madalyn Langer, 72 and Rylee Wamsher-Scott, 100.
The Lady Tornadoes hosted their annual tournament on Wednesday, Sept. 3., with Hall just missing claiming a medal at the home meet.
The top 10 individuals received medals, with scores ranging between 5461. Hall finished the 9-hole round with a 62 to place 12th. Also representing Eureka were Langer, 71 and Wamsher-Scott 95.
Eureka is slated to travel to Caney on Monday, Sept. 15, at 10 a.m., with junior varsity traveling to Andover on Tuesday, Sept. 16, at 3 p.m.
