Throughout the year, Eureka Public Library hosts various events to encourage patrons to visit the local library. Not only can you rent books, audiobooks and movies, but you can join staff for craft activities, story hours and even game nights.
This month, the Eureka Public Library will host the following:
Tiny Tikes Sign-Ups Begin Sign-Ups for Tiny Tikes classes start Tuesday, Sept. 2 and end Thursday, Oct. 2, at 5:30 p.m. Tiny Tikes is a six-week program that brings caregivers and toddlers together for stimulating experiences. Tiny Tikes’ primary focus is the healthy development of toddlers aged 2 – 3 years old with an emphasis on pre-literacy skills. Registration is required and the classes are limited to 12 spots.
Talk Like a Pirate Day Come anytime on Friday, Sept. 19 during business hours as we celebrate Talk Like a Pirate Day. The group will have worksheets, photo props and information on how to sign up for a Kansas State Library card! Included in the many services and programs offered through the Kansas State Library is Mango Languages, a language program that teaches over 70 languages including Pirate! Come sign up for your card and start learning!
September Book Munch Club
Join the library for Book Munch Club Tuesday, Sept. 23 at 6:30 p.m. Book Munch Club is a book club for persons 18 and older where everyone involved reads their own books at their own pace. It’s a great way to meet new people, find new great books you might not have considered, and be a part of a book club without all the pressure! Feel free to bring a dish to share (or not lol) and come talk books with us! No RSVP necessary, no registering! Just come as you are and hang out with other adults.
Game Night
Patrons of all ages are encouraged to come and play games at the library on Friday, Sept. 26th from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. we will have a selection of games out and available to play. Mingle, make friends, snack, and get your game on! You may also bring your own board games to share with others!
