Eureka To Host Jamboree This Friday,Aug. 29

All Fall Sport Student-Athlete Introductions

This Friday, Aug. 29, the Eureka Tornadoes, both junior high and high school, student-athletes will be announced, with several taking to the court and field, for live action.

The Eureka Tornadoes high school volleyball and football teams will host Remington, Marion and Moundridge for the annual Jamboree. Volleyball action is slated to begin at 4 p.m., with football action beginning at 7 p.m.

Admission to the scrimmage and the jamboree is one sports drink per person (per event).

Eureka volleyball will battle on the north court with junior varsity/C team action beginning at 4 p.m. The Tornadoes will first face Remington, Marion at 4:30 p.m. and Moundridge at 5 p.m. Varsity action will begin at 5:30 vs. Remington and continue with Marion at 6 p.m. and Moundridge at 6:30 p.m. Intro ductions for junior high volleyball, football, cheer and cross country, along with high school cross country, girls golf and high school cheer will take place at 6:20 p. m., at McGinnis Field.

Tornado varsity football action will be held on the north side of the field, with Eureka first facing off against Remington at 7 p.m. They will then battle Marion at 7:45 p.m. Junior varsity will then take the field at 8:30 p.m., against Marion’s junior varsity squad.

The Eureka Booster Club will also be hosting their annual fall kickoff membership drive. They will begin serving a meal at 6 p.m., at the football field concession stand. Additional information can be found elsewhere in this week’s edition of The Eureka Herald.
