Went to Wichita on Sunday to visit with Wade at Wesley hospital, as he fell the other day and broke three ribs in his back. On the way home Jody Reynolds and I were talking about how green everything is still this late in August.

School is in full swing. Many schools started last week. Is it my imagination or are they starting school earlier each year? When I was in school we started, usually, on the last Wednesday or Thursday of August. Oh well, whatever. Be on the lookout for school buses stopping frequently to pick up kids and kids hurrying around either on foot or bicycles.

Construction on Cedar Creek Bridge on Hwy 105 has been stalled this past week. I’m guessing the large amounts of rain probably contributed to the inability to do much work.
