Annual Eureka Pro Rodeo Held At Eureka Downs Last Friday And Saturday, Aug. 15 & 16
The 14th annual Eureka Pro Rodeo was held over the weekend, at Eureka Downs, with a full slate of events for rodeo-goers.
Both nights featured Mutton Bustin’ for kids prior to the rodeo, bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing, breakaway roping and bull riding. The festivities concluded with a dance, featuring the Lora McDonald Band, Saturday night. Elizabeth Steele performed the National Anthem both nights, on her violin, with the Pledge of Allegiance being recited by Addie Coulter, Allie Knowles and Jolie Wiggins on Friday night and Toby and Trey Brenton on Saturday night. Following are the results: Mutton Bustin’ Friday Night: Rook Samuels won the belt buckle donated by Cavender’s with a score of 95. Evelyn Browne was second with 52. Others participating in the event were Emma Milner, Kipton Ramsey, Conagher Mayfield, Bennett Raaf, Kydon Ramsey, Gracie Lou Mast, Fletcher Muncheberg- Alvarez, Oak Cornett, Brooks Banick and Zaden Marshall.
Saturday Night: Waylon Ensiminger won the belt buckle donated by Cavender’s with a score of 75. Trayce Wells was second with 51. Others participating in the event were Ayla Jones, Bo Bruce, Niko Jones, Boone Collins, Eli Schankie, Easton Morton, London Fuller, Kipton Ramsey, Bash Foth, Kydon Ramsey, Peyton Musgrove, Roper Frakes, Emery Gulick, Hayes Frakes and Adley Ratley.
